Sport Coats

The difference between a Sport coat and a Blazer is simple.  A blazer is solid in color, has special metal or other non matching buttons, such as a navy blazer with pewter buttons.  This coat matches very well with banker’s grey dress slacks or a tan or khaki pant.  A popular look so you see a lot of men in them.

Sport coats on the other hand are an expression of you. They are usually made in a patterned fabric such as plaid, tweed, check, window panes or a host of combinations.  They can be light in weight like linens, and cottons, or heavier wool tweeds, herring bones, soft or bold and everything in-between.  Sport coats are always worn with contrasting pants, be it dress slacks, casual pants, or jeans and with a tie or just a knit top.  This is where you can really express yourself.
